Help detect malicious extensions
Lets Nithic analyse extensions that are widely installed, so new malicious ones are caught sooner. Your extension list is never sent. Each extension is reported as a one-way code derived from a secret that never leaves this device, and the codes for your different extensions cannot be linked back together. An extension is only looked at once several unrelated devices report it. Requires an extra browser permission, asked for when you turn this on.
HTTP Protection Settings

New and not yet widely tested. Everything below is off by default and changes only YouTube. If something looks wrong — especially missing audio while rating is on — switch these off and it stops immediately.
YouTube Shorts
Shorts autoplay endlessly with no natural stopping point. Open in the normal player keeps the video but drops the infinite feed, so nothing is taken away — it just ends. Off by default.
Hide Shorts Shelves
Also remove Shorts rows from Home, Search, Subscriptions and the sidebar
Stop Autoplay
Don't auto-advance to the next video. The next video is still one click away.
Hide Recommendations
Remove the related-videos rail, end-of-video suggestions, in-video cards and Mixes. Playlists are kept.

Open Subscriptions instead of the algorithmic home page — a finite list they chose
Hide Comments
Remove the comment section
Hide Live Chat
Remove live chat on streams and premieres
Hide Notification Badge
Remove the unread count on the bell — the pull back to the app
Rate What They Watch
Scores each video's captions for vocabulary, filler and repetition, and keeps a weekly summary. Everything stays on this device — the transcript is discarded after scoring and nothing is ever uploaded. This does record a viewing history locally, so it is off unless you turn it on.
